Co-Active Coaching

The Co-Active Model balances self-awareness, a keen agility with relationships, and courageous action to create an environment where individuals can be deeply fulfilled, connected to others and successful in what matters most. The “Co” in Co-Active suggests relationship, connection, intimacy and collaboration. Thus, the “Co” in us is curious, listens deeply, hears nuance, holds space for others, intuits and nurtures. The “Active” in Co-Active stands for power, direction, action and manifestation. So, the “Active” in us is courageous, has clarity and conviction, takes charge and achieves goals. The magic happens in the dance between “Co” and “Active” — action that arises from presence, deep relationship and context…and presence that is channeled into dynamic action and contribution. Balancing and blending these energies allows us to move out of an “either/or” paradigm into a “yes/and” paradigm.

Emotional Intelligence Coaching

The twelve Emotional and Social Intelligence Leadership Competencies, developed by Daniel Goleman and Richard Boyatzis, are derived from an evidence-based structure. Emotional Intelligence, the ability to tune in to our feelings and those of others, and to effectively manage emotions in ourselves and our relationships, is key to high performance and outstanding leadership. As it is often difficult to recognize our own weaknesses, and to take steps for lasting change, the guidance of a coach can make a fundamental difference in improving Emotional Intelligence competencies. By harnessing the energy of a client’s passions, a coach can develop practical applications for achieving specific goals and aspirations. A coach is also in a unique position to notice patterns in a client’s behavior, and can share these perceptions in a thoughtful and non-judgmental way, enabling the client to become more self-aware and to “unstick” unproductive habits.

About me as your coach

I completed my CTI Co-Active coach training and I am one of only 50 coaches worldwide in Dan Goleman's first ever Emotional Intelligence Coaching Certification program. I have 25 years or experience working for Fortune 500 companies, in highly competitive environments and I am very familiar with managing stress and the effort it takes to live a balanced life. As a coach, I listen attentively and pay attention to the voice and the energy behind the narrative. I believe in self-awareness and that the simple act of bringing attention to an issue is the first step in transformation. Few of us take the time to sit down with ourselves and figure out on our own where we are, what we need and what to focus on. Most of us have a tunnel vision when it comes to ourselves and see only a portion of our strengths and possibilities. Lacking clarity, we easily fall prey to our inner judge and other saboteurs. As your coach I like to think of myself as someone shinning a light on your inner world, helping you become self-aware, self-confident and self-reliant. Ideally, I want you to leave each session with enough belief and confidence to make the resonant choice and show up in life as your honest and vibrant self.

"I worked with Tony briefly and found him to be thoughtful and incredibly adept at getting right to the heart of things. He has an uncanny ability to skip over details that are unimportant and magnify exactly the components that are relevant and powerful for charging a path forward that is clear, true, and inspiring. His style doesn't allow for getting sidetracked or caught in lengthy storytelling. If you are serious about getting clear on your life path, Tony is a great guide!"
